The Service Technician at BENCO Equipment is responsible for the installation, diagnosis and repair of shop equipment while delivering top notch service to the customer.

 JOB DUITES:

  • Install, diagnose and repair shop equipment: 2 and 4 post hoists, tire changers, wheel balancers, industrial air compressors, pressure washers, waste oil heaters, air line systems, lube systems, exhaust systems, and other shop type equipment
  • Follow logical steps to troubleshoot the cause of problems with equipment
  • Run equipment tests and make adjustments as required
  • Prepare equipment for delivery by inspecting and operating machines prior to delivery as able
  • Keep up to date and continuing education on new technologies as required
  • Accurately report service work performed in a timely manner
  • Present yourself in a professional manner at all times

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or (GED) equivalent; Associates Degree or Technical school certificate a plus
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems. Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and components in the field
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand the customer’s expectations and work to exceed them
  • Ability to work in the field without supervision
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment
  • Willingness and ability to comply with company safety requirements and maintain safe working habits
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Flexibility to work overtime hours as needed
