CDL Class B Driver – with Passenger Endorsement
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, safety-driven CDL Class B Driver with a Passenger Endorsement to support our local and regional operations. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of box trucks and similar commercial vehicles, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining full compliance with DOT regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong route execution, situational awareness, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and company safety protocols.
- Safely operate company vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and internal policies.
- Ensure proper load securement and validate all freight documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), delivery receipts, and manifests.
- Execute pickups and deliveries in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain consistent communication with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or operational issues.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, vendors, and job site personnel.
- Promptly report maintenance concerns, safety issues, accidents, or violations to fleet management.
- Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of assigned equipment and report any deficiencies.
- Follow company procedures for hours of service (HOS) compliance, if applicable.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B license with Passenger Endorsement (required)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with a strong safety history
- Minimum of 1-year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and perform physical job functions as required
- Familiarity with local and regional roadways, traffic patterns, and delivery environments preferred
- Ability to read, interpret, and manage shipping documents and routing instructions
