Essential Functions:
- Â Set up station according to restaurant guidelines.
- Â Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Â Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Â Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
- Â Cleans and maintains stations in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
- Â Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
- Â Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Â Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef or Kitchen Manager at any time.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Â Passion for cooking and hospitality
- Â Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
- Â Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Â 2+ years' prep or line cook experience.
- Â Ability to take direction.
- Â Ability to work well in a team environment, calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Â Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
- Â Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat.
- Â Prolonged periods standing and preparing and cooking food.
- Â Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
