Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day supervision to all shifts of operations personnel in manufacturing, Clean Line / Clean Room, Handwork and Welding. Focus team efforts on the operational objectives of Safety, quality, delivery performance, and cost containment.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all applicable processes and equipment in post machining work centers.
Coach and mentor team members on established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
Train and evaluate the capabilities and performance of assigned team members. Address performance issues in partnership with Human Resources as required.
Align manufacturing/shipping activities with available team members to maximum department efficiency and productivity.
Manage department’s operations to meet production and delivery schedules.
Determine working schedules for team members in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
Supervise alternate shifts as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Proactively collaborate with machine operators, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance staff to troubleshoot and resolve production problems.
Report process and equipment problems to management as appropriate.
Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of operations records.
Promote, model and enforce established safety procedures in accordance with company, state and federal guidelines.
Promote and enforce quality assurance procedures in all stages of production and shipping.
Determine the labor required to meet current production and shipping activities in partnership with the Operations Manager. Participate in the selection and recruiting process when filling open positions as appropriate.
Perform functions typically associated with managing and leading others, including performance management, recruitment and selection, and compensation and policy administration.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Â
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to do basic Math.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software; ADP payroll systems and Oracle software.

Desired Education, Certifications, and Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
5 years of manufacturing experience
2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment
Strong knowledge in the Machining industry, specifically in working with Stainless steel metals.Â
Strong knowledge of Clean Room operations
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and principals
ISO 9000 administration

For candidates based in Minnesota: The pay range for this position is $79,600 - $135,300 annually.Â
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
