About the Role

Automotive Parts Headquarters is seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to lead our central warehouse operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse performance including receiving, inventory management, picking, shipping, logistics, returns, safety, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values operational excellence, and is passionate about developing high-performing teams while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, returns, and inventory control.
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness across all warehouse functions.
  • Maintain warehouse safety, security procedures, and operational protocols.
  • Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies within warehouse management systems.
  • Coordinate warehouse maintenance, equipment repairs, and facility improvements.
  • Implement process improvements and optimize warehouse layouts and workflows.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Schedule and assign work effectively while monitoring productivity and performance.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and government regulations.
  • Communicate operational procedures clearly and consistently to team members.
  • Promote a culture of workplace safety and operational excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Purchasing, Inventory, Store Operations, Accounting, and Human Resources teams support company objectives.
  • Address employee and customer concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Represent APH in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • 5–10 years of warehouse management experience required.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams, delegate effectively, and drive results.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Primarily office-based with frequent interaction in warehouse environments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent computer and administrative work.
