ROLE SUMMARY:  

As an OTR Logistics Operations Support team member within the Business Service Center (BSC) Logistics department, you will support the daily execution of transportation activities for multiple wholesalers. This role is responsible for securing over-the-road (common carrier) capacity to ensure the timely movement of finished goods while adhering to routing guides and driving cost-effective freight solutions. You will also track shipments in transit, provide updates and reporting to internal and external partners, and assist the team in managing both planned and unplanned supply chain events to maintain strong service levels.

This is a temporary role with an expected duration of approximately 3-6 months supporting the team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Secure over-the-road (OTR) transportation capacity daily to support shipment plans while adhering to routing guides and driving cost-effective freight solutions.

• Maximize the use of awarded carriers and coordinate with carrier partners to optimize capacity and maintain efficient shipment scheduling.

• Monitor shipments in transit and provide updates, reporting, and issue resolution to internal teams, breweries, wholesalers, and carrier partners.

• Track and address carrier performance metrics such as award acceptance, on-time pickup and delivery, ETA accuracy, and trailer pool compliance to support service and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate transportation scheduling for outbound shipments and returnable materials while supporting brewery operations and wholesaler service levels.

• Support the Logistics Execution team by responding to planned and unplanned supply chain events (production changes, product launches, recalls, etc.) while helping achieve key transportation cost and service KPIs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, IT or related fields 

• Excellent communication skills (telephone and email) are essential 

• Prior business or internship experience, particularly in a transportation or supply chain role 

• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, changing environment 

• Strong organization and attention to detail, with excellent follow-up skills
