Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at our 3108 S Kingshighway location in St. Louis, United States. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the store manager in daily operations, team leadership, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

  • Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations and achieving sales targets
  • Lead, motivate, and train team members to maintain high performance standards
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing stock
  • Implement and maintain company policies and procedures
  • Create and adjust employee schedules to optimize staffing levels
  • Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating team members
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Analyze sales data and make recommendations for improvement
  • Handle cash management and daily financial reporting

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
  • Customer service-oriented with a focus on creating positive experiences
  • Proficient in time management and multitasking
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and POS systems
  • Previous retail or customer service experience required
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices a plus
