Job Summary

Holy Infant Catholic School is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Part-Time Custodial/Maintenance Assistant. This position is responsible for routine custodial and maintenance duties for the parish and school buildings and grounds, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that supports the mission of Catholic education.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine janitorial and custodial maintenance throughout parish and school facilities
  • Clean classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, restroom facilities, gymnasium/cafeteria, hallways, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly
  • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities
  • Assist with general building upkeep and minor maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Help maintain safe and orderly grounds, including snow shoveling and ice removal when needed
  • Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings or events as required
  • Maintain custodial equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner
  • Communicate professionally with parish staff, school staff, vendors, and visitors
  • Follow all diocesan, parish, school, health, and safety policies and procedures

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior custodial or building maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to be reached by phone as needed
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
