About the role
Supports Deputy Center Director and performs a variety of administrative duties. Provides administrative assistance and
support to all departments in Career Services including Career Preparation/Counseling, Academics, and Career Technical
Training.
What you'll do
• Perform administrative duties to include typing, filing, dictation, receiving and routing visitors, sorting, and
distributing mail, etc.
• Arrange details of meetings, participants, agendas, etc.
• Maintain correspondence log, documenting incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Act as liaison between the Deputy Center Director and functional area department heads.
• Oversee Career Services reports control activities, ensuring timely receipt by department heads and submission
to Center Director, Department of Labor, and Corporate office.
• Draft routine correspondence for Deputy Center Director signature.
• Compile and summarize standard statistical information.
• Gather materials to copy and sort into training/workshops binders.
• Proofread written material for accuracy, check for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
Qualifications
High School graduate or High School Equivalency required with 3-5 years advanced secretarial experience. Prefer
graduation from an accredited or certified advanced training program in secretarial science or related area. Minimum
keyboarding skills - 55 wpm. Must possess computer skills and be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet
software programs.
