Job Summary
This role is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, executing trades, and managing the complete lifecycle of fixed income operations in alignment with client mandates. The position combines hands-on trading responsibilities with portfolio analysis, reporting, and vendor relationship management while supporting senior management and strategic business development initiatives. The role requires coordination across internal teams, third-party providers, and counterparties to ensure seamless fixed income operations and client service delivery.
 Essential Responsibilities:
- Source fixed income investment opportunities through broker/dealer relationships and execute trades in alignment with client mandates and prevailing market conditions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, third-party service providers, and counterparties to oversee the complete lifecycle of fixed income trading operations from execution through settlement.
- Assist in managing fixed income accounts by analyzing portfolios, recommending trades, and supporting investment decision-making processes.
- Review and support reconciliation processes with third-party partners, ensuring accuracy between internal systems, custodians, prime brokers, and trading platforms.
- Serve as primary liaison with third-party technology, data, and service providers related to fixed income operations and infrastructure.
- Prepare comprehensive portfolio and manager-level reports, analyzing portfolio results including holdings, performance, risk exposures, and attribution analysis.
- Provide backup support to Senior Portfolio Manager, ensuring continuity of operations and client service during absences or high-volume periods.
- Support strategic initiatives for equity and fixed income business line development and integration, including gathering requirements, preparing documentation, and implementing new procedures, workflows, and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 3+ years related work experience, preferably with an asset manager, trading desk or RIA
- Series 65 licensure required within 6 months of hire, if not already held
- Experience with Bloomberg, Morningstar, Orion and Eclipse strongly preferred.
- Familiar in dealing with custodians Schwab, Fidelity helpful
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
