The Associate Merchandising Specialist sources and manages apparel, headwear, and promotional merchandise for clients, ensuring programs align with SKU, margin, and satisfaction goals. Responsibilities include developing product menus, coordinating artwork and pricing, communicating with vendors, and supporting product presentations. The role also involves assisting with merchandising tasks and collaborating with the Account Services Team to deliver merchandise on time and to client specifications.

 

 What you will be doing:

  • Source apparel, headwear, and ad spec merchandise for assigned clients, ensuring programs meet SKU, margin, and client satisfaction targets.
  • Develop and maintain all speed SKU product menus for client projects.
  • Execute art and decoration requests, and confirm product pricing.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding product and sample features, availability, and costs; request and review virtual images as needed.
  • Assist in setting up and presenting products for client reviews and item selections.
  • Perform merchandising assistant duties as needed.
  • Partner with the Account Services Team to ensure merchandise meets all timelines and customer expectations.

 

What You Bring to the Table: 

  • Work experience in product marketing, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional acumen and strong math skills with the ability to analyze pricing and cost build-ups.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for retail shopping and merchandise.

 

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, merchandising, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong business communication and professional skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associate or Technical Degree, merchandising background preferred.
  • Merchandising background.
  • Experience working with vendors and managing sample orders.
