Qualifications

No educational requirements.  Ability to speak English effectively to respond to questions from customers,donors, team members, and leadership.  Basic math skills preferred.

 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and sales floor.
  • Sorts donated goods and purchased goods into categories:  sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, according to established guidelines. 
  • Displays merchandise on the sales floor by stocking, straightening, and rotating merchandise.
  • Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working at a quick and steady pace. 
  • Efficiently and safely transports items, carts, racks, and bins to and from sales floor.
  • Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store, to include sales floor, warehouse, and donation dock, in an efficient manner to adhere to Goodwill Retail Procedures.
  • Upholds cleanliness standards of the store by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and/or shining surfaces.
  • Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
  • Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft.  Reports any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, or employee hotline.
  • Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies and Goodwill Retail procedures as well as safety and security regulations. 
  • All other duties as assigned.
