Job Summary:

Trileaf is seeking a full time Environmental Project Scientist on our Commercial team. This in-office position is located at our corporate office in St. Louis, MO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (1 to 2 days per week)
  • Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone 
  • Ordering & analyzing government database records
  • Performing regulatory agency file reviews
  • Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs) 
  • Drafting of a standardized report using information from these various sources 
  • Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients 
  • Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines
  • Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
  • Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards 

 Basic Qualifications:

To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills:

  • Attention to detail

  • Capable of field work
  • Ability and willingness to travel; expected to be 25% (travel not expected to exceed 2-3 days at a time) 
  • Good computer skills
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Technical report review and preparation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Phase I Assessments
  • NEPA Assessments

 Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Illinois Licensed Asbestos Inspector
  • Mold assessment experience
  • Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1903)
  • Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
  • Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
  • Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)
  • Environmental Professional (EP)

 Education:  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
