Arnold Grounds Apartment Management is seeking a dependable and skilled Floating Maintenance Technician to support multiple multifamily apartment communities throughout the St. Louis, Missouri area. This position is ideal for a motivated maintenance professional who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional service to residents and onsite teams.

The Floating Maintenance Technician will travel between properties as needed to assist with unit turns, work orders, preventive maintenance, and property upkeep while ensuring communities remain safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and maintenance repairs in a timely and professional manner
• Perform general apartment maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, and painting
• Assist with apartment make-readies and unit inspections
• Support emergency maintenance needs and on-call responsibilities as assigned
• Conduct preventive maintenance to maintain property standards
• Ensure grounds, common areas, and facilities remain clean and operational
• Work collaboratively with Property Managers and Maintenance Supervisors across multiple communities
• Maintain inventory, tools, and maintenance records
• Follow all company safety procedures and Fair Housing guidelines

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred
• HVAC certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general maintenance
• Ability to travel between communities within the St. Louis area
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities efficiently
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance tasks
