About this Role

This individual manages a team of Business Analysts responsible for supporting projects and teams across the major business lines in the company. This includes managing personnel involved in the planning, development, implementation and operation of mission critical software application systems; and participates in the development of strategic planning sessions for First Bank business lines.

In this Role You Will

  • Manage the efforts of Business Analysis team in existing system support as well as development, testing, and implementation of new solutions
  • Exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations
  • Set strategy and priority for the team in alignment with First Bank leadership and governance processes
  • Act as mentor and coach to staff on performance, training and development
  • Work to expand knowledge of banking and business functions being serviced
  • Review bank systems and provide input on the development roadmap
  • Represent the Business Analysis team in special corporation-wide cross functional initiatives
  • Establish documentation best practices for project and task-related efforts
  • Support acceptance criteria / requirements gathering by identifying strategic vision, business use cases, issues and opportunities
  • Ensure transparency and awareness with appropriate business stakeholders and leadership through effective communication, reporting and presentation
  • Ensure support tasks are completed timely including the successful completion of system processing routines such as year-end reporting
  • Evaluate and reconcile conflicts and risks, helping to distinguish critical paths forward
  • Ensure we are effective in our transformation efforts by making sure we account for any workflow, system, application and operational changes as we go through transformation
  • Provide input for the operating budget and manage project budgets as required
  • Ensure proper project methodology and quality assurance techniques are followed on all projects under their management.
  • Represent the Analysis team in special corporation-wide cross functional initiatives

Qualifications, Competencies and Skills

  • You should possess demonstrated leadership, technical and business understanding with measurable superior past performance
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year College or equivalent work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two years management experience required
  • Two years' experience in the financial industry preferred
  • Proven ability to build relationships and motivate others
  • Effective communication across multiple levels of leadership
  • Familiar with Agile practices and methodologies preferred
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, a must
  • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills required
  • Direct or indirect analyst experience preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws preferred
  • Multi-lingual, a plus
  • U.S. Military Veteran are encouraged to apply
