Position Summary
The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing the integrated master project schedule for a large-scale aviation terminal construction project. This role ensures alignment across all project phases, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout. The Master Scheduler works closely with project leadership, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and proactive schedule risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development & Management
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the aviation terminal project using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Incorporate all project phases, including design, permitting, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Establish and maintain baseline schedules, milestones, and critical path analysis.
- Ensure schedule integration across multiple contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress against the baseline schedule and identify variances.
- Perform critical path and float analysis to identify potential delays and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly schedule reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Provide schedule forecasts and recovery plans as needed.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and airport authorities to gather schedule updates.
- Lead schedule review meetings and ensure alignment across all project teams.
- Support phasing and logistics planning, especially in an active airport environment.
Risk & Change Management
- Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate the impacts of change orders, delays, and scope changes on the project timeline.
- Support claims analysis and provide documentation for delay analysis (e.g., Time Impact Analysis – TIA).
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure compliance with aviation authority requirements, safety regulations, and project controls standards.
- Implement scheduling best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of scheduling experience, with at least 3–5 years on large-scale aviation or infrastructure projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (required).
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
- Experience with multi-phase, complex construction environments, preferably in active airport settings.
- Knowledge of FAA, TSA, or airport authority regulations is a plus.
Preferred Certifications
- PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional)
- AACE certifications (e.g., PSP – Planning & Scheduling Professional)

Work Environment
- A combination of office, remote, and on-site presence at the airport terminal project.
- May require coordination outside of hours to accommodate airport operations.
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced, high-security environment.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Project Controls Manager / Program Manager
- Works closely with: Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, Contractors, and Airport Stakeholders
