Description

A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Patient Care Coordinator on the St. Louis, MO campus. This position provides care coordination with the goal of improving the overall oral health of the patient population. The Patient Care Coordinator seeks to improve the dental experience by ensuring delivery of services and quality outcomes. 


Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Interact with Patients – Communicate treatment plans and payment options. 
  • Promote Compliance and Improve Outcomes – Contact patients, assist with appointments, identify transportation needs and resources, identify oral and overall health resources for patients. 
  • Collaborate with Partners – Proactively collaborate with internal and external partners including dentists, dental students, staff, and outside organizations.
  • Ensure Patient Satisfaction. 
  • Verify Insurance.
  • Maintain organized system for tracking and follow-up.
  • Compile Reports as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 


Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Two-year college certificate or equivalency required; four-year college degree preferred.
  • 3 years experience in various aspects of medical or dental office management.
  • Knowledge of dental billing & dental insurance.
  • Good written and strong interpersonal communication skills including the preparation of reports.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to function independently.
