St. Louis Childrens Hospital is looking for a Patient Care Support Supervisor. This position would be supervising Unit Secretaries and Milk Techs in the NICU.

Full time position

Monday - Friday with Weekend Rotation

Role Purpose

Supervises and directs needs associated with patient care support services.

Responsibilities

Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.

May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.

Leads and supervises support services staff and assigned functional areas.

Assists with operations of unit services and integration with other departments.

Supports and leads process improvement efforts.

Promotes a safe environment by ensuring regulatory requirements are completed as assigned to support staff.

Coordinates the intake and dismissal of all outside agency personnel, including agency contracts with the hospital; procurement; management and confirmation of short term assignments; and scheduling.
