Job Summary

The Preschool Aide supports the mission of Holy Infant Catholic Church by providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment for preschool-aged children. This individual assists with the supervision, care, and enrichment of students in alignment with Catholic values and early childhood best practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage preschool students during extended care hours (before/after school).

  • Support a Christ-centered atmosphere through words, actions, and modeling of Catholic values.

  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, including play, crafts, snacks, and rest time.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in accordance with school and state guidelines.

  • Monitor and support students’ emotional, social, and physical development.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with children, parents, and staff.

  • Follow all school policies, procedures, and health/safety protocols.

  • Support classroom teachers and staff as needed.

  • Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.

  • Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or school setting.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.

  • Commitment to the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Must pass background check and meet diocesan safe environment requirements.
