Overview

Symbria Rx Services in St. Louis, MO is seeking a team oriented, experienced Inventory Pharmacy Technician who shares our commitment to ensuring the health and wellness of seniors. The Ideal candidate will be a tech savvy, quick study with the ability to wear multiple hats.

Symbria services long-term care settings such as: Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory care, Developmental communities and many more specialized live-in settings.  

 

Work Schedule: 

  • Monday- Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  
  • Weekends as needed
  • Available for quarterly inventories  

Responsibilities

Functions and Responsibilities:• Process and check in wholesale orders daily. • Restock shelves with inventory and returns daily throughout pharmacy areas and restock shelves from overstock daily. • Monitor and process returns of outdated, slow moving, and/or unused medications with wholesaler for credit. • Work with wholesaler and pharmacy usage reports to establish par levels. • Communicate product information, availability, and changes to pharmacy staff. • Prepare and participate in quarterly physical inventory. • Make suggestions to pharmacists for alternate product to fill a prescription. • Communicate backorder problems to our customers and pharmacy staff. • Prepare and manage returns process according to established policy. • Any and all duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).• Pharmacy Technician license and/or Certification (CPhT) as per State requirement.• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and alternate shifts for PTO/staffing coverages as operational needs dictate.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFFERED:• Pharmacy inventory experience; minimum one year.• Pharmacy technician experience: long-term care setting
