Under general supervision, obtain easements through privately owned land for the construction of sewers.

Essential Functions:

Verify the location and ownership of rights of way;
Contact property owners at times convenient to same and explain need for easements and work to be done;
Negotiate payments for construction damage; obtain written letter of agreement for easement from property owners;
Investigate complaints of property owners during and following construction;
Appear in court as witness during condemnation procedures;
Confer with engineer in making changes in plans and required easements;
Obtain deeds of records for property information as requested by use of courthouses, municipal records, title companies and etc.,
Maintain records and prepare reports.
