Job Summary:
Join our compassionate and collaborative team as a School Based Navigator, where you will play a vital role in connecting students and families to timely, effective behavioral health services. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by serving as a trusted liaison between schools, families, and internal care teams while supporting access to care, service coordination, and continuity of treatment. In this role, you will coordinate referrals, support intake and insurance processes, manage documentation, and collaborate with schoolābased therapists, internal departments, and community partners to ensure students receive appropriate services in a timely and compliant manner. You will also assist with administrative coordination, crisis linkage, and ongoing support to maintain access to care throughout treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
Ā· Receive and respond to student referrals from assigned schools within required timelines
Ā· Initiate contact with families to begin intake processes and gather required documentation
Ā· Assist families with Medicaid eligibility screening, applications, and private insurance verification
Ā· Screen for alternative funding sources as needed to support access to services
Ā· Schedule intake appointments with schoolābased therapists or route referrals to appropriate access points
Ā· Ensure intake, compliance, and consent documentation is completed accurately and filed electronically
Ā· Collaborate with Billing, Health Information Management (HIM), and Quality teams to complete nonābillable regulatory tasks
Ā· Provide administrative support by answering calls, documenting nonābillable contacts, and maintaining accurate records
Ā· Conduct ongoing insurance checks and support paperwork updates to maintain service eligibility
Ā· Coordinate with schools and community agencies to connect families to resources and crisis services when indicated
Ā· Adhere to organizational privacy, confidentiality, security, and ethical standards at all times
Ā· Follow Operational Guidelines and contribute to program quality and CARFāaligned standards
Ā· Participate in required trainings, team meetings, and continuous improvement activities
Ā· Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
Ā· Bachelorās degree in psychology, social work, or a related human services field preferred
Ā· High School diploma or equivalent with relevant experience considered
Ā· Knowledge of mental health systems and schoolābased service models preferred
Additional Qualifications:
Ā· Must have a valid driverās license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance
Ā· Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, school personnel, and internal teams
Ā· Strong organizational, documentation, and timeāmanagement skills
Ā· Proficiency with electronic records systems and telephonic engagement
Ā· Knowledge of community resources and ability to coordinate support services
Ā· Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
Physical Requirements
Ā· Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
Ā· Ability to perform repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements for typing and documentation
Ā· Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional walking or standing
Ā· Ability to meet the physical demands of a sedentary work environment
