Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Unit in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will contribute to a caring, reliable team that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork while making a meaningful impact in a dynamic public-facing environment.

Pay Rate: $20.13 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public access areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, verify authorized access when required, and document security-related incidents, daily activities, and/or suspicious behavior according to post instructions.
• Support order at the location by providing directions, answering questions, and helping to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence and professional interaction with the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
