BSA is seeking a design-driven Architect to join our St. Louis studio. In this role, you will take a leading hand in shaping environments that support healing, learning, and discovery. You will contribute to impactful projects where design excellence and purpose go hand in hand. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead the delivery of fully coordinated, high-quality design documents across all disciplines.
  • Support, oversee, and evaluate work of architectural team. Be a resource to other disciplines in a similar capacity.
  • Coordination of design document preparation across all disciplines.
  • Coordinate and support the architectural design delivery process across all disciplines ensuring all team members are working in coordination with the project vision
  • Participate in project reviews and lead design discussions that elevate the quality of work.
  • Balance creativity with project constraints, including scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Mentor staff. Teach, guide, support and develop the work of architectural team members.
  • Guide the delivery decisions of architectural staff to deliver high quality solutions that meet our client’s challenges.

Education and Experience: 

  • Education: Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
  • Licensure: Registered Architect with current registration. NCARB certification preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of architectural experience. Prior work in healing, learning, or discovery environments preferred.
    • Experience on larger projects, with more oversight of the project scope, is preferred.
    • Expertise/Mastery of concepts from Sr Architect I.
    • A point of view on the future of architecture and awareness of current trends and innovation.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of sustainability strategies and associated rating systems.
