About Storm Guard Roofing & Construction

Storm Guard Roofing & Construction is a technology-driven exterior construction company specializing in
residential insurance restoration and retail projects across roofing, siding, gutters, and windows.
We are not looking for a desk-only project manager. This role requires strong field leadership, technical
construction understanding, and the ability to run production with urgency, quality, and professionalism.

Position Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the customer experience, job quality, subcontractor
performance, and timely completion of projects after they are sold and handed off from the Sales team.
This is a field-led leadership role, requiring regular jobsite visits, active problem-solving, and
oversight of crews, warranty items, and customer concerns.
You will manage a production team and be accountable for quality control, subcontractor relationships, job
scheduling and progress, customer satisfaction, warranty diagnosis and resolution, and accurate material
ordering and job readiness.

Applicants must meet all of the following:

1) Window Measuring + Ordering Experience
You must be able to measure windows correctly (replacement and new construction scenarios), identify
installation type and trim considerations, order windows accurately through suppliers, and understand lead
times, sizing tolerances, and jobsite readiness.
Installing windows is a plus, but measuring and ordering is mandatory.

2) Technology Competency
You must be comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems quickly.
We operate in a CRM and production workflow daily. This role requires logging notes consistently,
updating project statuses, uploading documents/photos, and communicating through task systems.
If you avoid computers or prefer paper-only workflows, this role is not a fit.

3) Proven Leadership Experience
You must have experience leading people in a production environment, including holding subcontractors
accountable, leading field staff and setting standards, managing conflict professionally, and creating a
team culture (not a boss culture).
We are not hiring someone to step into leadership for the first time.

4) General Construction Experience
You must have a strong foundation in construction systems and jobsite reality, including exterior
construction sequencing, flashings and water management, diagnosing workmanship issues, and quality
control standards.

Additional Strong Preferences
• Specialty roofing knowledge (TPO, metal roofing, complex flashing)
• Experience diagnosing leaks and chasing water intrusion
• Understanding OSHA safety requirements and jobsite safety leadership
• Ability to climb roofs and perform inspections personally
• Experience onboarding and maintaining subcontractor relationships

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of construction experience (exterior preferred)
  • Prior leadership experience in production, field supervision, or project execution
  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Excellent communication skills with homeowners and subcontractors
  • Ability to solve problems independently and make decisions in the field

Performance Expectations

• Projects move efficiently from sold - scheduled - completed
• Customers feel informed and taken care of
• Subcontractors perform to quality standards and timelines
• Warranty items are diagnosed correctly and resolved quickly
• Job documentation is consistently updated in the CRM
• Your team respects you and works with you (not against you)
