US Glyphosate Product Manager 

 

As the Glyphosate Product Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management, market strategy, and commercial performance of glyphosate-based products within our crop protection portfolio. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, market insight, and strategic leadership to ensure competitiveness and compliance in a highly regulated industry.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Glyphosate Product Manager, are to:

  • Develop and execute product strategies for glyphosate formulations and related offerings over the Strategic Business Planning period (SBP- 5 years) for Agriculture Business, Industrial, Turf, and Ornamental sectors;
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats;
  • Define pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies;
  • Oversee product development, registration, and regulatory compliance;
  • Manage supply chain coordination to ensure product availability and quality;
  • Monitor product performance and implement improvements;
  • Support sales teams with product training concepts, technical materials, and marketing campaigns;
  • Collaborate with distributors and retailers to gather input on product and marketing strategies;
  • Track sales performance and adjust strategies to meet revenue targets in partnership with the Business Development Lead positions;
  • Work closely with the R&D, regulatory affairs, operations, and marketing teams;
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for glyphosate products internally across the multi-functional teams;
  • Periodically represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings as needed.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Chemistry, Business, or related field 
  • Strong knowledge of herbicides, particularly glyphosate, and agricultural practices;
  • Proven track record in product strategy, market development, and commercial execution;
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with regulatory processes for agrochemicals, and non-selective herbicide product knowledge;
  • Master’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in crop protection, agrochemicals, or product management;
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and integrated weed management practices;
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical and commercial priorities.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $146320.00 - 219480.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
