The Boeing Artificial Intelligence, Applications and Innovations team is currently seeking an Associate Artificial Intelligence (AI) Software Engineer to work within a cross-functional team in Berkeley, MO. This AI Software Engineer will develop next generation of engineering perception and prediction solutions for aerospace applications.  Your work will increase the operational efficiency and safety of aircraft fleet operators by analyzing their aircraft, maintenance, training, and engineering design data.

Your creative and intellectual skills will be used to develop innovative, nonstandard advanced machine learning algorithms for fleet optimization, advanced health management, and pilot training.  Additionally, you will develop data engineering tools and pipelines to filter, organize, and understand text, parametric system data, imagery, and other forms of data collected during aircraft operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Apply the latest machine learning and artificial intelligence technology from across industries, academia, and government

  • Build, train and productionize cutting-edge Machine Learning models

  • Develop data engineering pipelines for large aerospace data sets

  • Implement software development best practices to enable product deployment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python

  • 1+ years of experience working in the field of Artificial Intelligence including Machine Learning

  • Knowledge of machine learning model development and evaluation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree

  • Experience with software development best practices

  • Strong technical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Desire to collaborate and innovate in an Agile software development environment

Travel:

10% (could be up to 20%)

Summary pay range for Associate Level: $97,750 - $132,250
