Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works is seeking a Senior Consultant Low Observable (LO) Design & Integration Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO.
Phantom Works is Boeing Defense’s advanced design division that is responsible for designing, building, and testing the future capabilities for our Nation’s defense. The Phantom Works’ portfolio has grown significantly over the past few years, and we need to grow our team to solve some of the toughest challenges.  This position is part of the Phantom Works Fixed Wing Prototype & Test organization supporting multiple proprietary programs.
The Senior Consultant LO Design & Integration Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership to multi-disciplined configuration design maturation and trade studies, LO integrated system design, integration, and test validation. The ideal candidate should understand advanced concepts and prototypes for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components to develop new business opportunities.
This is a great opportunity to work new designs and integration of stealth materials and technologies as part of an integrated product team. The Senior Consultant LO Design & Integration engineer will apply knowledge of electromagnetic theory & principles to develop new and innovative stealthy systems and components for next generation platforms. This job requires both hands-on and deskwork.Â

Our teams are currently hiring for a Senior Consultant Low Observable (LO) Design & Integration Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the development and integration of cutting-edge low observable technologies
Recommend technological applications to accomplish big picture objectives
Lead efforts to resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of new technologies
Applies and develops highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts as well as job practices, techniques, and standards to problem sets
Consults with suppliers and customers (internal & external) to ensure compliance with technical requirements
Other Responsibilities May Include:
Teamwork: Candidates must be able to positively interact with a wide range of personnel in design, fabrication, and testing of prototypes and aircraft parts and systems, including suppliers
Data visualization and communication: Disseminate results and status to project stakeholders. Candidate may be primary spokesperson representing the Boeing Company to Government Customers and/or suppliers
Technical writing: Candidate must quality check LO technical specifications, procedures, and reports
Flexibility: Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills will be needed to provide leadership and advise multiple simultaneous projects in various states of maturity and/or multiple activities within a single project
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
15+ years’ work-related engineering experience
Extensive practical job-related experience using electromagnetic theory and physics to research and design low observable systems and components.
Recognized as an authority on low observable materials and processes; low observable design techniques and approaches; integration of low observable designs with other disciplines (such as structures, propulsion, and antennas) both internal and external; design trades and optimization; and electromagnetic analysis and modeling.
Typical Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Typical summary pay range: $177,650- $240,350
