This position offers the opportunity to work fully remote within the United States (except for Alaska and/or Hawaii). Team members who choose virtual / remote work should have an adequate space to serve as their home office, and must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours. This position will require employees to come on site to one of our St. Louis campus locations a few times per year for meetings/events or as needed. #LI-REMOTE

The Portfolio Management Office is evolving, and we are looking for strong leadership to drive the transformation in becoming trusted partners that bring visibility and alignment across our portfolios that drive outcomes that align to our strategic priorities.  

 

The Portfolio Management Office has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager 2, supporting our Information Technology Domain areas (Infrastructure, Security and Workforce Technology). In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior IT leaders while leading complex IT projects that support and advance the way we do business. The scope of your role includes planning, guiding, coordinating, and monitoring activities of one or more project teams involved in the discovery, design, build, rollout and transition of IT initiatives. You will collaborate with project sponsors to define the project scope and objectives, identify required skills and resources for the project team, develop detailed work plans, and provide project status updates. You will be responsible for anticipating and identifying project issues, risks and dependencies, recommending solutions, and working with senior management to implement solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your strong leadership skills.  

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

  • Capable of overseeing large enterprise efforts and complex strategic projects with responsibility for planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling project activities 
  • Knowledgeable with technical system concepts, i.e., servers, storage, database, middleware, and networking 
  • Able to perform in the face of ambiguity 
  • Proven leadership, results orientation, and self-motivation traits 
  • Must possess strong meeting facilitation and relationship building skills 
  • Proven success for project delivery on time and within budget 
  • Capable of applying a resource management model to manage the resources and projects in the portfolio 
  • Must show ability to deliver on high profile programs/projects
  • Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple end-to-end projects 
  • Intimate knowledge of full life cycle development

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
  • Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 5+ years IT related project management experience 
  • Experience leading teams using Agile, Waterfall and Iterative methodologies and tools 
  • Proficient knowledge of program and project management concepts, from planning and inception through implementation and support 
  • Proficient knowledge of analysis techniques, tool usage and standards 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
