Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Phantom Works has an opening for Air Dominance Manufacturing Manager (Level K) in St. Louis, MO. This is an exciting opportunity to manage, develop, and motivate high performing teams of employees on the production line.

This position is contingent upon program award.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Develops and maintains a culture of safety, quality and execution
  • Knowledge of processes, specifications and manufacturing practices to execute undefined protype work scope and new development
  • Works under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

This position requires the ability to obtain special program access.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years’ experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • 5+ years’ experience working with or supporting military aircraft

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience in assembly manufacturing
  • Experience with composite fabrication  
  • Previous knowledge / experience with LEAN
  • Experience with military aircraft maintenance and ramp operations
  • Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees.

Shift:

This position is for first shift.
