The Department of Audiology at St. Louis Children's Hospital has an amazing opportunity for a full-time Audiologist to provides excellent, evidence-based patient care with a whole-child and whole-family approach.  We are a collaborative group of dedicated pediatric audiologists. We emphasize doing what is right for our patients as well as creating a supportive professional environment. We aim to provide excellent evidence-based practice and allow clinicians to grow in their clinical skills and interests.

  • Monday- Friday in person 7:30-5:30 (employees primarily work 4 10 hr shifts with 1 weekday off, but flexible)

Role Purpose

Provides audiologic services for outpatients and inpatients. Evaluates hearing and the auditory system. Counsel patients/parents regarding results and recommendations. Manage follow-up and/or treatment as warranted.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conducts basic audiologic tests.
  • Performs specialized testing as needed after appropriate training is provided.
  • Obtains case history information pertinent to audiology services.
  • Interprets past and present audiologic results for parents and professionals.
  • Makes appropriate recommendations and determines the need for referral to specialists in related areas.
