Developmental Mathematics Professor Responsibilities & Duties - Develop and deliver engaging and effective lectures and learning activities for Developmental Mathematics courses
- Provide individual and small-group support to students who are struggling with the material
- Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback on their performance
- Collaborate with other Mathematics faculty and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Engage in scholarly and professional activities that support the mission of our institution
- Maintain accurate records and data related to student learning outcomes and other relevant information
- Stay current with the latest research, trends, and best practices in Developmental Mathematics teaching and learning

​Developmental Mathematics Professor Qualifications & Skills: - Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field
- Minimum requirements, Master’s Degree and 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
- Demonstrated experience teaching Developmental Mathematics at the post-secondary level or experience teaching high school mathematics courses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching materials
- Commitment to student success and a growth mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience using technology such as, Canvas and online tools to support teaching and learning
- A passion for continuous learning and professional development

Supervisory Responsibility: - None (unless otherwise designated by the department)
Physical Requirements: - Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, or pull objects, including the human body.
- Light work typically requiring walking or standing to a significant degree.
Working Conditions and Environment: - Work is routinely performed in a standard interior/office environment.
- Limited or no exposure to physical risk.
