The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Lead Mission Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join our team located in Berkeley, MO.

Join Boeing, a leader in aerospace innovation, as a Lead Mission Systems Integration & Test Engineer within the Phantom Works Division located in Berkeley, MO.

In this role, you will lead a talented Mission Systems team in integration & test planning, tool development, and test execution utilizing modern automated analysis & testing, Open Architecture and Agile development methodologies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and execution of the overall integration and test strategy for mission systems, ensuring alignment with program objectives and certification requirements.
  • Define and maintain system-level test plans, procedures, acceptance criteria, and verification models that ensure complete requirements traceability.
  • Coordinate and oversee system integration activities across avionics and software to achieve timely, repeatable integration results.
  • Develop, prioritize, and manage test efforts, including resource planning, scheduling, logistics, and contingency planning.
  • Establish and coordinate test infrastructure needs: test rigs, data acquisition systems, simulators, and automated test frameworks.
  • Lead test execution, data collection, instrumentation and analysis; verify system performance against requirements, document anomalies, and support investigations and corrective actions.
  • Ensure rigorous configuration control and change management of test procedures and test data; work closely with Configuration Management and Systems Engineering teams.
  • Interface with suppliers, subcontractors, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve integration issues, align schedules, and enforce test and verification requirements.
  • Support safety and certification activities by producing verification evidence and contributing to safety analyses.
  • Drive continuous improvement in test processes, automation, and tools to increase test efficiency, repeatability, and data quality.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration & test engineers; build team capability through training and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate test status, results, anomalies, schedule impacts, and technical recommendations to program management and stakeholders through concise reports and briefings.
  • Manage technical risks related to integration and test: identify, assess, mitigate, and report risk status to program leadership.
  • Support cost and schedule optimization related to test activities; identify opportunities to reduce rework and accelerate verification timelines.

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 5: $143,650 - $194,350

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Prior experience working in an Avionics/Mission Systems discipline Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Active Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
