Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Saint Paul Park, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also support access activity and deliver strong customer service and communication. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command and completing required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as required, and report suspicious behavior, damaged equipment, or restricted area concerns to site leadership.
• Support site operations by observing compliance with location rules, communicating professionally with staff and visitors, and preparing clear, accurate incident and activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
