The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As the Amazon USAC Key Account Sales Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading the U.S. Amazon customer strategy and business execution, including joint business planning, portfolio prioritization, and medium‑ to long‑term growth initiatives to deliver committed revenue and profit objectives.
  • Implementing operational leadership for the U.S. Amazon business by directing the Key Account Management team, establishing clear objectives, driving performance management rigor, and developing organizational capability.
  • Determining customer engagement and commercial strategies through senior‑level relationship management with Amazon, leadership of contract and program negotiations, and input into pricing, promotional, and portfolio decisions in partnership with finance and marketing.
  • Supporting cross‑functional alignment across marketing, supply chain, finance, digital, and business groups to enable selection expansion, event execution, operational excellence, cost‑to‑serve improvements, and adherence to 3M policies, systems, and governance standards.
  • Willingness to be on‑call to support critical customer issues, business escalations, and peak execution periods, as required.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Ten (10) years of progressive sales, key account management, or commercial leadership experience within consumer, industrial, or B2B in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex national or strategic customer accounts, including contract negotiations and joint business planning
  • Proven people leadership experience, including direct management of professional sales or account teams
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver revenue and profit results through disciplined planning, forecasting, and execution
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with marketing, finance, supply chain, and operations teams
  • Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills
  • Experience managing or leading business with Amazon (Vendor Central or Seller Central) or other leading omnichannel / eCommerce customers
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and influence senior external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with digital commerce fundamentals, including online merchandising, demand generation, and event‑based execution
  • Track record of building high‑performing teams and developing leadership bench strength
  • Experience operating within enterprise governance, compliance, and sales standards frameworks
  • MBA or advanced degree

Work location:

  • Onsite: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
  • Travel: May include up to 20% domestic travel
  • Relocation: May be authorized
