 JOB TITLE: Barista-UST Coffee Shops LOCATION: Multiple University Coffee Shop Locations Across Campus PAY RATE: $16.50/Hour HOURS: Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends About the RoleJoin our dynamic, student‑friendly team serving high‑quality coffee and creating a welcoming environment across our busy university cafés. We’re looking for friendly, reliable individuals who enjoy working in a fast‑paced setting and providing great service.Key Responsibilities- Prepare a variety of coffee and espresso beverages consistently and accurately
- Deliver excellent customer service with a positive, helpful attitude
- Maintain cleanliness of the café, including equipment, counters, and seating areas
- Assist with restocking, inventory, and opening/closing duties
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
QUALIFICATIONS
 Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of coffee or barista experience
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and committed to maintaining clean and organized workspaces
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Experience working in fast‑paced or high‑volume cafés
- Knowledge of espresso equipment and drink preparation techniques
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
