How you'll make an impact: MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Stitcher Machine Assistant who consider themselves problem-solvers and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As Stitcher Assistant in the Bindery Department, you will be responsible for supporting the Stitcher Operator in the production of booklets.  What’s in it for YOU? Maintain cleanliness of work area including emptying waste bins. Read job ticket to ensure job specifications are followed. Assemble shipping containers. Gather and pack product, per job specifications. Feed the stitcher machine according to the Operator’s instructions. Apply labels for packing cartons, as needed.  What does it take to be successful in this role? Can accept feedback and use it to grow in your position. Must have basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic skills. Able to read and understand job instructions. While these qualifications are preferred, they’re not required: Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment.   The physical requirements and work environment:  Physical Demands Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift). Lifting/Carrying: Regularly lift and move materials up to 40 lbs. Repetitive Motions: Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling. Visual/Manual Requirements: Ability to read instructions on a computer or job ticket, count materials, and perform quality checks.  Environmental Conditions Noise Level: Exposure to moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection provided. Safety Gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection may be required. Other Factors: Occasional exposure to dust, ink, or chemicals used in production.
