Description:Ā 

This position will actively support the testing of healthcare products crucial to patient’s safety efforts within the healthcare industry. This role includes performing lab-scale polymerization reactions, coating adhesive solutions into films, and physical properties testing. Work is performed as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Ā 

Compensation: $22.00 - 24.00 per hour

Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Benchtop testing that includes physical, chemical and optical analysesĀ 
  • Perform lab scale polymerization reactions and maintain equipmentĀ 
  • Design and execute experimentsĀ 
  • Troubleshoot issues with instruments, experiments and process updatesĀ 
  • Provide critical guidance into finished manufacturing process designĀ 
  • Create written laboratory reports to accurately record and analyze testing resultsĀ 
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teamsĀ 

Requirements:Ā 

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science or related scienceĀ 
  • 1+ Years research experienceĀ 
  • Adhesives experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsĀ 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365Ā Ā 
  • Good deductive reasoning and initiative to solve problemsĀ 
  • Able to handle multiple assignments concurrently, self-motivated, and results drivenĀ 

This position will be cross functional and will require good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase. Good organizational skills, record keeping and follow through will be integral to success.  The candidate will need to communicate effectively verbally and by e-mail.  The candidate would be expected to be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.Ā
