Ironwood has an immediate career opportunity for a printed circuit board/flex fabrication engineer/technician. This position is to manage our new but growing captive etching and plating facility used to produce precision test contacts for the testing of semiconductor devices.
This is an autonomous position with great flexibility and the opportunity to wear many hats, from PCB layout through manufacturing and new product development. Additional desired skills related to PCB manufacturing include laser cutting, lamination, and chemical analysis. This individual should be a self-starter with a sense of urgency and a desire to get things done. You will have the opportunity to interface with both design engineers and sales/customer service.
Responsibilities
路 Manage the day-to-day operation of this facility, which may include work direction of up to 2 process technicians
路 Understand and maintain specialized equipment, including photo imageable mask application, imager, etching, plating, laser singulation, and lamination.
路 Understand and provide chemical analysis of etchants and plating solutions as needed
路 Work with other team members in the development of new products
路 Oversee waste treatment

路 Chemical analysis as it pertains to PCB manfacturing
路 CAD/CAM - Tooling (Front End)
路 Waste Treatment Oversight
路 Lamination Support
路 Laser Cutting Support
路 Drilling Support
路 Chemical Bath Maintenance
路 Equipment Support
路 Design Support
路 Industrial Waste Compliance Officer
路 Hazardous Material Handling
路 Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Prior experience in sales or administrative support is highly desired.
路 Experience with MRP/ERP systems preferred.
路 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
路 Multi-tasking, deadline driven, self-starter with attention to detail.
路 Must be a professional and a proven team player with both internal and external customer focus.
路 While not a core responsibility, familiarity with international shipping requirements is a plus.

Pay: $77,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
