The Center for Victims of Torture is hiring a Spanish Interpreter to provide interpretation services to clients who are receiving psychotherapy, social work and medical services in St. Paul, MN. Services are provided in-person as well as electronically.

- Location: St. Paul, MN
- Reports to: Program Manager
- Full/part-time status: Part-time; 5-10 hours per week, in-person in St. Paul, MN
- Pay starts at: $25.96/hour
- Benefits: Employees in non-benefit eligible positions receive paid sick/safe leave hours and participation in CVT’s retirement plan once eligibility criteria are met.
- Position is open to candidates who reside in Minnesota and are eligible to work in the US and will not require CVT to sponsor a work visa

Qualifications:
- Applicant must possess excellent interpreting skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Must be registered on the MN Department of Health Spoken Language Healthcare Interpreter Roster.
- Interpreting experience in the medical, mental health, or social services areas preferred.
- Familiarity with terminology and concepts in health care and social services.
- Strong understanding and demonstrated compliance with the role and ethics of interpreting, including confidentiality and boundaries, as they relate to mental health settings.
- Interested in the advancement of human rights.
- Must be able to work flexible hours during the week day and to accurately manage a changing schedule. (No weekends)
- Must have access to technology and confidential space to provide interpretation remotely.
