OVERVIEW

JOB TITLE: Food Service Worker I/Fall 2026LOCATION: The View.St. Paul Campus PAY RATE: $16.50 per hourHOURS: TBD

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Dining Services: VIEW The View location provides meals for the greater campus community.  An excellent way to meet other students and be a part of a diverse team. Student food service workers are active participants within Dining Services in providing, nourishment, superior guest service, and a welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests. We will train individuals in the areas of proper food handling, food serving & storage, as well has proper hygiene and sanitization best practices. This job requires a sense of urgency and friendliness that is welcoming to all.  We are very accommodating to varied schedules being open from 7 am until 9 pm 6 days a week.  Closed on Sundays. Skills: 
  • Strong service orientation, demonstrates a commitment to help others
  • attention to detail, observant to guests' needs, with the ability to be present and take action. 
  • Thrives in a collaborative team-oriented environment  
 Responsibilities include:
  • This position requires working on your feet, a sense of urgency, maintaining food safety standards, and providing guests and patrons with genuine hospitality.   

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates should have a basic understanding of the hospitality industry
  • Candidates should be commited to best practices in ensuring a food safe environment
  • Candidates should be able to work on their feet for extended periods of time and be able to lift at least 20 lbs throughout a shift

 

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
