Job DetailsJob Location: St. Paul, MN 55127Salary Range: $18.47 - $22.91 HourlyJob Shift: DaysJob Category: WarehouseThe Material Handler is responsible for shipping, receiving, returns, carrier relations, order management, product management and customer service. Assumes prompt, accurate, and systematic handling of finished goods and raw materials orders while providing outstanding customer service. Effectively performs the operation of powered industrial equipment for the purpose of loading, unloading, moving, locating, relocating, and stacking product. Essential Job Functions: Drives a forklift or other PIT equipment during loading and unloading of trailers and or containers. Ability to read shipping orders and create packing lists/BOL and pother required shipping documents. Uses computer and computerized equipment such as scanners for accurate product placement. Utilize ERP to process shipments and to make movements of finished goods/components for inventory. Create and approve product and shipping labels as needed for shipments and production. Have all packing materials ready and available prior to pre-packing and staging of an order. Manually load containers/LTL shipments with a pallet jack or by hand as needed. Completes the bill of ladings for drivers and obtains the proper signatures. Move finished goods/raw materials from or to production lines and place in warehouse or production.   Verify that the quality of the product sent outbound meets customer expectations. Ensure proper and safe building of pallet shipments. Receiving and breakdown of raw material. Complete cycle and inventory accounts as assigned. Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives as directed. Maintain clean and orderly warehouse to include removal of production waste and operation of floor cleaning equipment, etc.   Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, managers, co-workers, and vendors/guests. Maintains good attendance in accordance with company guidelines. Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules, and report any potential safety hazards to management. QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent training and/or experience.                        Experience:     Must have recent Material Handler/Forklift Operator experience.  Other skills and abilities required include: Strong organizations skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize a busy workload Ability to follow and comply with all building safety rules and policies Ability to read shipping orders and packing list information provided by vendor Must be self-motivated and team oriented Ability to read and write English Ability to wrap product and label product quickly Able to keep work area clean and organized Physical/Mental Requirement: Physical Demands: Medium Work - Lifting of 50 pounds maximum While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk (up to 8 hours a day).  The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Must have full range of motion and unrestricted use of upper extremities and perform over-head reaching. Must be able to talk or hear.  The employee frequently required to bend (to the floor), twist and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Employees lifting over 50 pounds must ask for assistance.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
