Job Description
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Manager, the Sr. Payroll Specialist is a key contributor within the Payroll and Benefit team. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with multi-state payroll, prevailing wages, and payroll system implementations. This candidate enjoys being a go-to resource for both the team and the business.
- Own and execute complex payroll processes with accuracy, timeliness, and confidence
- Manage multi-state payroll and prevailing wage requirements, including compliance and reporting
- Work directly with LCP Tracker and other compliance tools
- Support payroll system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing process improvements
- Act as a mentor and trusted resource for payroll team members
- Safeguard sensitive payroll and employee data with professionalism and discretion
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Operations to keep things running smoothly
- Adapt quickly, juggle priorities, and step in wherever help is needed

Qualifications
You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree; CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred
- 10+ years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally in construction or complex multi-state environments
- Direct experience with prevailing wage payroll and compliance reporting
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work
- Experience supporting payroll implementations or system conversions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Â Team-first mindset with a collaborative, flexible approach
- A clear understanding of payroll confidentiality and data sensitivity

Pay Range:Â $100,000 - $120,000/yr
