Welder

Purpose:Under limited supervision, operates all welding equipment and performs position welding functions with a high degree of proficiency. Essential Job Functions:Review daily welding production schedule with Production Lead to insure awareness of requirements and output required Read blue prints to determine required weld locations, components and layoutsWeld component parts as required referring to prints or product books as necessaryPerform grinding, deburring and polishing duties required in the process of producing finished, high quality welding projects Report immediately to the supervisor any and all problems which may effect safety, equipment, tooling and or quality Inspect work periodically to insure that welds are consistent with approved levels of quantity and quality established by the company Repair any re-weld to German DIN/AWS standard and field weldingOperate bar code scanner/computerOther duties as assignedRequirements:Physical Demands:Pass Jager Eye examination, annuallyPerform work in the plant facility 100% of the timeLift up to 50 pounds, as neededEducation/Skills/Experience:Technical degree in Welding requiredPass Schwing America, Inc. welding tests and maintain welding certification by passing periodic welding tests conducted by the Quality Control departmentQualified to AWS D.1.1Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skillsAbility to read blue printsFamiliarity with computers to look up work instructions, track labor and other tasks as needed
