Job Summary: 

The Job Coach is responsible for the day-to-day job training of adult employees in competitive employment positions, maintain quality, and meeting quotas (if applicate), set by the business partner.  They are responsible for the guidance and direction needed to intervene with employees one-on-one and set a professional example and expectation through their actions, attendance, and dress.  This person must act as an advocate on behalf of all employees under their direct supervision.  The Job Coach must be able to work independently with their employees, maintain their schedule, and have the ability to make immediate decisions should an unexpected situation develop. 


Duties:

  • Assist the work site personnel in the training and supervision of the participant.
  • Monitor the client’s activities and reinforce the supervisor’s directions.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants.
  • Complete all training documentation and reports associated with the program as required.
  • Assist the work site personnel in the resolution of any participant’s performance issues.
  • Comply with the proper procedures concerning grievances, suspensions or terminations of participant.
  • Communicate with work site personnel regarding any relevant issues.
  • Communicate with competitive employment advisors/instructor regarding progress of participant.
  • Facilitate the development of relationships between work site personnel and the participant.
  • Support the participant in achieving their goals as outlined in their plan.
  • Complete and submit all applicable forms in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an accurate schedule.
  • Deliver accurate and timely responses with Program Coordinator with scheduling changes.
  • Perform other related duties as directed. 

Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities highly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation.
Experience:
  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in a business desired.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to pull up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. 
  • Ability to reach, turn and twist above and below the waist. 

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics may vary.  The following are representative characteristics an employee can encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
 

PAY: $19 per hour
STATUS: Full Time 
HOURS: Varying hours between 7am and 8pm Monday through Friday
