The Line Cook is responsible for prepping food and plating dishes according to the restaurant’s menu specifications. They will play a vital role in upholding our food safety and cleanliness standards. In addition, the Line Cook will assist in restocking items, sanitizing equipment, and plating meals.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a deep knowledge of food safety standards including time and temperature standards, and proper chilling and heating techniques.
- Practice Sanitation and Safety principlesÂ
- Use proper methods of preparation, sizes of portioning and the garnishing of food while on the line.
- Waste management including waste reporting
- Prepare items according to the recipe specification and set up the kitchen line.
- Monitoring temperatures for equipment, product and monitor holding temperatures on the line.
- Prepare all items within designated ticket time and alert management if ticket times are not being met.
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
