Level 2/3 Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer (On-Site)

The Role

We are hiring a Level 2/3 Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer.
This is a hands-on, on-site engineering role. You will be the escalation point for complex issues and the lead engineer on upgrades, rebuilds, migrations, and advanced troubleshooting.

You must be confident, personable, and exceptional with clients. We are looking for someone who takes pride in being the person who “gets it fixed” — not a ticket jockey.

What you will do

  • Act as final escalation for servers, networks, virtualization, cloud, and security stacks.

  • Design, deploy, and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 networks (VLANs, STP, routing, VPN, policy).

  • Perform Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, Exchange cutovers, and Teams/SharePoint deployments.

  • Lead on-prem server to cloud migrations and P2V/V2V migrations (VMware & Hyper-V).

  • Support & administer Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, Azure AD/Entra.

  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot switching and firewalls (Fortinet, SonicWall, Meraki, etc.).

  • Support BCDR platforms (Datto, Axcient) and test/validate DR runbooks.

  • Work directly with clients on-site; represent B&L professionally and confidently.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in an MSP or multi-client environment.

  • Deep networking experience — VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, firewall rule design.

  • Expert Microsoft 365 admin skills.

  • Solid Azure experience — identity, conditional access, hybrid, AADConnect, etc.

  • Advanced virtualization experience in at least VMware or Hyper-V (ideally both).

  • Ability to lead projects and run point on technical execution.

  • Excellent personality, communication skills, ownership mindset.

  • Willingness to occasionally cover weekend or late-night maintenance windows (rare, but sometimes necessary for cutovers or critical incidents).
