Established in 1970, Boley Centers, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization serving individuals with mental disabilities, individuals and families who are homeless, Veterans and youth in Pinellas County.

Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a full-time Painter Maintenance Technician to perform interior painting and touch-up work across Boley Centers' properties. When painting tasks are not required, the Painter Maintenance Tech assists the Maintenance team with pressure washing, facility upkeep, and general maintenance support within their skillset.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Painting the interiors of apartment units to include the walls, trim, doors, and other interior surfaces.
  • Painting and touching-up paint work in offices, hallways, common areas, and interior building structures including columns and high visibility areas.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting to include patching drywall, sanding, cleaning surfaces, taping, priming, and protecting surrounding areas.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional paint finish throughout agency facilities to preserve property appearance and quality.
  • Identify areas requiring repainting or touch-up and communicate needs to the Property Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain painting tools to ensure they remain in proper working condition and track/maintain the inventory of painting supplies including paints, primers, brushes, rollers, tape, and other materials.
  • Assist with pressure washing of buildings, sidewalks, entryways, and other exterior surfaces and assist Maintenance staff with general maintenance projects consistent with skill level and training during periods when painting work is not required.
  • Assist with property appearance improvements and observe preventative maintenance across Boley facilities and provide recommendations to the Property Maintenance Manager regarding facility appearance, maintenance needs, and potential improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in the setup, preparation, and breakdown for agency events and activities as needed/requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

At least two years of painting or related maintenance experience preferred. Experience with interior painting, drywall patching, and surface preparation highly desirable.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Florida driver's license

Must pass a Level 2 background check and drug screen
