Job Description Summary

Responsible for design, implementation and administration of Systems Management tools, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, focusing heavily on Tanium for endpoint management, device provisioning, patching, security, and automation, while also mentoring junior staff, driving strategy and managing cross-functional projects to optimize system performance and reliability in hybrid environments. Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for modern endpoint management.

Job Description

This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month.

Responsibilities:

  • Own, manage and monitor systems management environments to ensure optimal health, performance and availability.

  • Manage the evaluation and implementation of new products and technologies which typically cover a broad variety of enterprise-class infrastructure disciplines.

  • Proactively plans capacity of platforms and applications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve user and system issues related to systems management infrastructure, escalating when necessary.

  • Implement updates and patches to maintain system security and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Proactively identify and resolve systemic issues.

  • Maintain SOPs and technical documentation.

  • Communicate changes to operations and support teams.

  • Prioritize Keeping the Lights On (KTLO), executing projects, and individual tasks.

  • Collaborate on project deliverables with team leads.

  • Act as a technical resource for operations, audits, and peers.

  • Deliver and maintain systems and documentation including testing and validation procedures.

  • Mentor and train support teams on technical tasks.

Skills:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Tanium, Microsoft InTune and/or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.

  • Advanced scripting language using PowerShell, HTTP and Python.

  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement long-term solutions.

Education

Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Information Technology, High School (HS) (Required)
