Job Description Summary
Provides senior leadership for Corporate and Real Estate Banking Loan Administration at Raymond James Bank. Responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of Corporate Loan Specialists who support the post-approval lifecycle of complex lending relationships, including documentation, closing, and reporting. Ensures all loan administration activities are executed in accordance with Raymond James policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards. Partners closely with Corporate Banking, Credit Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, and Technology to support disciplined growth, strong controls, and an exceptional client experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and oversight for Corporate and Real Estate Banking Loan Administration, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution of documentation, closing and servicing activities.
- Manages and develops the Corporate Loan Administration team, including coaching, performance management, succession planning, and compensation administration.
- Establishes, implements, and maintains Loan Administration policies, procedures, and controls aligned with Raymond James regulatory and risk management frameworks.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for corporate and commercial loan documentation, systems, and administrative processes.
- Partners with Corporate Banking and Credit Risk Management to ensure approved credit terms are accurately documented, closed, and maintained throughout the life of the loan.
- Leads process improvement initiatives within Loan Administration to enhance quality, consistency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborates with Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Operations to address control gaps, system enhancements, and regulatory requirements impacting Loan Administration.
- Oversees reporting functions related to Loan Administration, including management, Board, and regulatory reporting support.
- Coordinates Business Continuity planning, testing, and training for the Loan Administration function in alignment with firm standards.
- Leads department preparation for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory examinations, including issue remediation and ongoing monitoring.
- Provides training, guidance, and mentorship to Loan Administration staff to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Oversees work requiring advanced technical expertise in loan documentation, collateral, and servicing structures.
- Manages human capital activities, including recruiting, retaining, and developing Loan Administration talent and selecting senior-level specialists as needed.
- Plans, assigns, monitors, and evaluates work to ensure effective resource utilization and adherence to service level expectations.
- Balances competing priorities and deadlines in a controlled, risk-focused environment.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge of:
- Advanced corporate and commercial loan documentation, closing, booking and servicing practices.
- Federal and state regulations impacting commercial and real estate loan administration.
- Commercial lending structures, collateral requirements, and credit documentation.
- Finance and accounting principles related to loan servicing and reporting.
Skill in:
- Leading and developing loan administration teams in a regulated financial environment.
- Reviewing and interpreting complex loan documentation and credit approvals.
- Translating regulatory and policy requirements into effective loan administration controls.
- Process analysis and continuous improvement within loan administration functions.
- Communicating complex documentation and compliance requirements to stakeholders at all levels.
- Managing reporting, record retention, and data quality within loan systems.
- Developing and delivering training programs for loan administration staff.
- Using loan systems and standard office applications with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to:
- Manage multiple complex documentation and servicing workflows simultaneously.
- Identify documentation, servicing, and control risks and recommend procedural enhancements.
- Work independently while partnering effectively with Credit, Compliance, Legal, and Technology.
- Establish priorities, allocate resources, and meet regulatory and internal deadlines.
- Analyze and apply information from complex loan documents and legal agreements.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with senior leaders, associates, and regulators.
- Lead teams through high-volume or high-risk periods while maintaining strong quality standards.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across Raymond James.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail while supporting broader enterprise objectives.
